Fourteen girl cadets of Greenway Modern School went for the training camp conducted by 2DGB NCC between May 28 to June 8 at NCC Bhawan, Rohini. The camp had enrolled 600 cadets from Delhi NCR schools and colleges. Col. Harjinder Singh was the commanding officer of the camp. Missioned with overall development of the cadets, the camp had a number of workshops, cultural programmes, extempore, poster making competitions, sports, drilling and firing sessions. The cadets put in their best efforts to enhance their knowledge on self defence, sex education, first aid classes, rifles, basic commands of parade, etc. They participated in various sports and competitions like extempore, poster making, Tug of war, volley ball, kho-kho, solo song, group song, solo dance, group dance and skit competition. Greenwanians claimed their gold medals in solo song and group song and silver medals in solo dance and poster making competitions. The most enthralling session for them was the firing session. They went to Rajputana Regiment for firing in which they were given five rounds and rifles to aim their targets. The last day of the camp marked the day of celebration and felicitations. The camp was aimed to transform girl cadets into stronger, self disciplined and empowered girls. The cadets under the guidance of Ms. Sarita left remarkable imprints in the camp captured in the NCC cameras.
