Recitation is an art and is a lot of fun.  To instill a love for this and to develop recitation skills amongst our little ones, Greenway Nursery School organized a Hindi Rhyme Recitation Competition for Pre School on 16th of October 2019. It was fun watching our little scholars standing in front of everyone with confidence and speak loudly to mark their presence felt.

Greenway Modern School had organized a hyperphysical Edufair on 19 October 2019 within the school’s bailey. Principal, Mr Mohit Sachdeva had received the conspicuous guests like Dr Manjeet Singh (Joint Secretary Academics and sports CBSE), Mr Alexey Shaposhnikov (Head of Science and Technology Russian Centre of Science and Culture), Mr Kailash Chandra  (Education Officer, National Science Center), Mr Pramod Singh (Associate Editor, The Pioneer) and other venerable persona grata with open arms who had graced the occasion with their placable impendence. Prof. K.G. Suresh, Special Guest had conferred spellbinding elocution about the umpteenth Science models and eulogized the scrupulous travails of pupils for their name worthy projects. Dr Manjeet Singh had lauded the instructional, sports and other quaint curricular activities. Mr Alexey had blithely delegated a breviloquent oration for the volatile lineage of Greenway. The occasion was also graced by the Chairperson Ma’am and Manager sir of the school along with the Vice Principal, Mr Tarun Sachdeva, Ruchi ma’am and Somya ma’am.

In Edufair, science models and projects were indeed the quintessential of Scientific ramification. There were several conjunctions and incorporated performances on wildlife, disaster management, women empowerment in form of nukkadnatak, mime presentation, etc. had showered the hypnotizing repercussion on the multitude. The masquerade on water conservation and forest preservation had brought a wallop and thunderclap among the throng. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony became phenomenal with unwinding balloons. The panorama was quite mesmerizing and could not be depicted.

The judgement of the competition was done by the honourable dignitaries present in the event, Dr Deepak Joshi (faculty Centre for Bio Medical Engineering, IIT Delhi) and Dr. Arnab Chanda (Assistant Professor, IIT Delhi) and Mr Divyajyoti (Stem Robo Technology). The English Promenade was highly appreciated by the present dignitaries. It was a bit of stretch to say that it was a well-turned Edufair for the Academic consortium and prafull students. The winners were awarded with the certificates and memento. Principal Mr Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of all the teachers and students for the roaring success of Edufair.

GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL – AN INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION

For the 3rd consecutive year, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden, felt proud to be associated with Russia, for the Indo-Russian Student Exchange Program. A group of 5 students were selected for the exchange program and were accompanied by a teacher, Mrs. Poonam Makhija, to Ivanteyevka, Russia, from October 9th to October 16th.

The students and the teacher were greeted very warmly by the Russian School Staff and students on their arrival. Everybody was escorted to the school officially to meet their respective Russian partners and from there, began the journey of the cultural exchange. Greenwanians were heartfully welcomed by the Russian students’s family to stay with them and be a part of their own culture.

On the day of arrival, after the students got comfortable with their host families, they were taken for a short excursion around the Ivanteyevka town.

Day 2 was full of activities for the students as they were taken to the school, where they attended Russian lessons, communicated with the fellow Russian students, and later were taken to the Centre of Creativity, and indulged in creative workshops.

Day 3 was scheduled for a visit to the Nursery School No. 15, Rucheek. After which, everyone enjoyed a pleasant walk around Moscow.

Day 4 was the day at the respective Host families, where they could get familiar with the people, culture and their warmth.

Day 5 had been scheduled for a visit to the mesmerising city of Alexandrovskaya Sloboda, where one could truly live the traditions of Russia.

Day 6 was full of adventure, as the students participated in various sports events at the sports centre Olymp. Our students made us proud by bagging 1st position in various events. After which, the students showcased the Indian culture via a splendid dance performance which was loved by all.

The Russian principals were presented with a token of friendship on behalf of our principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva.

Day 7 was full of emotions as it was the day of departure from the beloved Russian partners.

And with that, this beautiful journey came to an end for this year, with a promise of making the next one, even better.

‘A dream becomes a goal when action is taken towards its achievement’.

With an another roaring success, Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden had witnessed a triumphal completion of its second exchange programme with Sangwon Elementary School, Daejeon ( South Korea ).

A group of 15 students along with the Principal, Mr Mohit Sachdeva and Three Teaching Staff went to South Korea for an Exchange Proramme from 5th to 13th October 2019. To get to know more about the Korean culture and traditions, the students were made to stay with the host families to make the bond of friendship of the two countries a balanced equation, transcending all barriers.

This, a seven day stay brought the two nations into one frame. A two day trip to SEOUL was a fortuity for all to know the place better. The visit to the Aquarium, Science Park, Daejeon Traditional Market, so on and so forth was a conspicuous and note worthy experience. The Korean music played with the traditional instruments was like a delight to ears. The Korean cuisine was a delicacy. The cultural programme staged and effectuated by our students was the magnum opus. This exchange programme has tied the two countries, India and South Korea, in the firmest bond of friendship.
