The third Dr.Bhai Mahabir Inter School Championship was organized on 16th & 17th December 2022, by BHAI PARMANAND VIDYA NIKETAN, SURYA NIKETAN DELHI. The Greenwanian boys under 14, brought glory to the school by winning BRONZE MEDAL. The students who participated were:

Christmas is a season of joy, peace and gratitude. It is a day that illuminates the world with the warmth of love, care and true sacrifice. A day when we derive pleasure by serving the needy and forgiving others in affection.

The Christmas celebrations at Greenway Modern School were marked with pomp and show on 23rd and 24th December 2022 for juniors and seniors respectively. The anchors, who welcomed everyone to the afternoon assembly, began the program with a joyous note. First of all it was a melodious musical performance by the choir. The divine Christmas Carols ushered in a unique feeling of warmth and joy that brightened the winter day for all. Later the talented students of class 11th enacted the Nativity Scene of Jesus. Their mesmerizing performance, filled with elegance, attracted everybody's attention. 

Santa Claus is undoubtedly the charm of the occasion. Everyone was taken aback when Santa made an appearance in the middle of the performance and started handing out toffees. It was a show with lots of fun and prizes to be won. The Coordinator and Academic In-charge selected slips of paper with the names of teachers, class section and roll number of student written on them. The lucky draw winners ascended the stage to get their presents from Santa Claus. Teachers of the arts, music and dance department were given presents as an expression of gratitude for their dedication to their work, along with Jeevan Bhaiyya who helped to organize everything for the occasion. At last, Ms. Anuja Jaitly, the Senior Coordinator, addressed the gathering and expressed her joy while also appreciating the participants for their contributions.

Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrated it with the same fervour at Greenway Nursery School,  on 24th December 2022, spreading the message of love and joy among our students. Children came dressed in red and white colour dresses.  The school was beautifully decorated.  Students danced to the joyful tunes.  They exchanged Christmas and New Year wishes.  Teachers explained them the importance of this festival.  The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Clause himself went into the classes. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.

On December 20th 2022, online exchange programme was held as a part of INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION between our school & ST. PETERSBURG school 34.  Both the schools actively communicated with each other about the traditions of celebrating the New year & Christmas in Russia and answered questions. The Greenwanians understood their traditions and importance of Christmas & New year. The meeting was held in a very friendly way.

With an outstanding performance in all the events, Greenwanians won the Inter School Championship Trophy 'ETHOS - the kindness festival' organized by Vivekanand School Anand Vihar. The event was held on 15th and 16th December 2022.

Congratulations! to all the winners!!! 

With Delhi reaching its peak temperature and the lowest temperature in December, there are more people like us who need both, the warmth of our hearts and that of clothes. With an aim to provide comfort to these people wandering in streets and living in slums, Greenway Modern School, in collaboration with Delhi Police and some NGO's organized a woolen drive on 7th December 2022.

With the true spirit of Christmas, Greenwanians did a wonderful job by donating woolen clothes to people who are in need. More than perceiving this as mere charity, it was an act of kindness and satisfaction which was the actual driving force for this task. Principal Sir congratulated everyone for participating in this selfless act of charity enthusiastically and for their collective efforts towards bringing smile in the face of others. This New Year, with this small effort, a new ray of hope has been built in the hearts of many.

Greenwanians have been bringing glory to the school by winning in various competitions. The boys under 17 Ishant Tomar of Class 9th A got SILVER MEDAL in BOXING whereas Argham Jain of Class  9th D got BRONZE MEDAL in TAEKWONDO and  BHARAT of Class  8th B got BRONZE MEDAL in ARCHERY. The competition was organized by CBSE CENTRAL ZONE held in DELHI REGION.

The Samarth School, Main Wazirabad Rd. organised a 3-day Psychology Fest with multiple fun activities and competitions. The Psychology Fest was organised to psycho-educate students regarding various Psychology and Mental Health themes, such as Suicide Prevention, Addiction, and Personality. Greenway Modern School also seized this opportunity to encourage the children showcase their talents and express themselves in a creative manner. Not only the participation but students’ hard work and efforts paid off successfully as they won accolades in all the events they had participated.

Our students gave an impactful performance in all the competitions and under the correct guidance of their mentor, their performances were at par excellence which was evident from the results of the competitions. Manager Sir, Chairperson ma’am, and Principal Sir especially honoured the students with a word of appreciation for them and further encouraged them to be all-rounders. The students were elated after the conversation with higher authorities and this energized them to perform even better in future.

Committed to sustainability, Greenway Modern School organized an educational trip to ‘Yamuna Biodiversity Park’ for class VIII as a part of Sustainable Development goals programme.

Travel expands your horizons and school life cannot be complete without the fun of educational tours and excursions. These trips are tailor made to facilitate the students to know and understand the real, multicultural world.

Students went through the Biodiversity Park along with the guides and observed rich flora and fauna of the park. Children even visited wetlands of the park and encountered many migratory birds all the way from China and Ladakh.

A host of activities are undertaken as a part of trips which act as a catalyst to think out of the box and broaden the outlook. The school discreetly organizes educational trips to strategically and historically important places and facilitates the students to reach out for information beyond the text books.

The trips also extend a much needed break from the hectic daily schedule and an opportunity for the facilitators and learners to bond with each other.

Practicing sustainability empowers children to construct knowledge, explore values and develop respect towards Nature, which lays the foundations for an environmentally responsible adulthood in the next future.

The SDGs key benefits of learning and experiences reflect on students’ life to improve quality of life. Let the young lives protect, preserve and conserve the natural environment for their future needs. The young succeed to achieve their stability and the society experience with a good quality of life upon the natural environment.

In the pursuit of instilling a sense of responsibility in managing natural resources and developing values of sustainability, Primary wing of Greenway Modern School conducted a myriad of eco- activities for Classes I-V.

From spreading awareness on waste management by introducing the 3-Bin Solution in classes I&II to effectively promoting the approach of 'learning by doing' by fostering the skills of recycling materials in III-V, Greenwanians under the leadership of Ms Deepa Bhardwaj, vowed to refrain from indulging in any ecologically unethical practices. In addition, a Street play performance on water conservation theme was put up emphasizing the significance of water motivating everyone to curb practices leading to its wastage.

With a vision to link the beneficiaries to the green planet, Greenway Modern School  will continue striving to reach the sustainable development goals.

Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden organized a picnic for classes 6, 7 and 8.

Students went to Vishalgarh Farms on 06.12.2022. All were welcomed with music and dhol.

The place is equipped with food, fun, adventure and relaxation.

Children had a great experience of rich Rajasthani Culture. They enjoyed the live music and experienced various thrilling activities such as puppet show, zip line, rope climbing, and commando net, magic show.

Overall, it was a joyful and memorable day for students.

CBSE CENTRAL ZONE HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP was held at Maharaja Agrasen Model School Pitrampura from November 25th to 28th November 2022

About 32 teams participated in this event. It's a matter of great pride. GREENWAY MODERN SCHOOL BOYS (under 19) got third position. In the present time media has an indispensable role to play in society. Whether it be through magazines or e-newspapers,  sharing of information can be presented by any medium. To help students develop their skills and engage their curious minds, a workshop was conducted by Hindustan Times on 29th November 2022 at HT House CP Delhi.

Greenway Modern School is extremely honoured to have been able to participate in this HT GENIUS HIGHLIGHTS WORKSHOP. 2 students Sania ( XI-A ) and Shreya ( XI-D ) represented GMS in this interactive session. The workshop which began at 10:30 AM lasted for 2 hours. The seminar primarily focused on 'designing' and media. The mentor, miss Monica, explained and gave a brief insight towards designing an article, the colour scheme to be chosen, font to be used and various other elements of multimedia culture. Students participated in this very enthusiastically and bombarded her with queries. She cleared all the doubts very patiently. At the end students were awarded with certificates and testimonials were taken. This workshop was not only fruitful to students but also provided an opportunity for them to explore the world of mass communication.
