                                heat wave

As per the circular issued by the Directorate of Education regarding heatwave preparedness, the school has implemented comprehensive precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff. In view of the rising temperatures, all outdoor activities and morning assemblies have been suspended during peak heat hours from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with indoor alternatives arranged to maintain the academic schedule. To promote regular hydration, the “Water Bell” initiative was introduced, with a bell rung every 90 minutes to remind students and staff to drink water, and ORS sachets have been made readily available in the school infirmary for use under supervision in cases of dehydration. Awareness sessions are being conducted daily by class teachers to educate students on recognizing signs of heat exhaustion, the importance of hydration, wearing light cotton clothing, and avoiding direct sunlight. A buddy system has also been instituted across all grades, wherein students monitor each other for symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, or excessive sweating and promptly report concerns to teachers. For infrastructure support, classrooms are kept well-ventilated with curtains drawn to block direct sunlight, and students are permitted to stay in shaded areas or indoor halls during breaks. Further, class teachers are regularly updating parents through official WhatsApp groups, sharing guidance on heat safety measures such as sending filled water bottles, providing light meals, ensuring caps and sunscreen use, and monitoring children for heat-related symptoms at home. The School Safety Committee is actively monitoring compliance through daily rounds, and no cases of heat stroke have been reported so far. The school remains committed to following DOE guidelines and will continue to adapt these measures as needed to ensure a safe learning environment.

During the session, students were given a live demonstration on using a fire extinguisher through the PASS technique and were briefed on key safety measures such as wrapping a blanket to protect themselves, crawling low under smoke, and following orderly evacuation routes. With all teachers present, the interactive drill helped students grasp the importance of staying calm and responding quickly during emergencies. The session proved highly fruitful in building practical awareness and confidence to manage disaster situations effectively.

The announcement included the selection of the Headboy and Headgirl, along with the appointment of the English Club Secretary. A key change this year was the appointment of four students as Cultural Heads instead of one, with the aim of sharing the responsibility of cultural activities and encouraging teamwork. During the address, the Principal highlighted the importance of the Student Council in upholding school values and maintaining discipline, and urged all newly appointed members to perform their duties with sincerity and work for the benefit of the school. The revised structure is expected to bring fresh ideas to school events and provide wider representation to students in co-curricular leadership.

                                        Jal Pakhwara

As per the DOE circular, our school observed Jal Pakhwada from 27th to 30th April 2026 to spread awareness about water conservation. Students across all classes participated in various zero period activities with great zeal.

Classes 6 and 7 expressed their ideas through Poster Making on Water Conservation, while Class 8 highlighted Challenges of Clean Water and their Solutions through impactful posters. Primary students, led by Ms. Charu, took out an enthusiastic Rally on 30th April with slogans on saving water. On the same day, Classes 9 and 10 performed Nukkad Natak on Water: Our Lifeline in their classrooms, conveying the value of water through engaging skits. The program concluded on 30th April with thought-provoking speeches by Classes 11 and 12 on water conservation and related challenges.

The week-long celebration successfully sensitized students about the need to conserve water and use it judiciously.
