The Janmashtami celebration was organised in the Greenway Modern school on 3rd September with great enthusiasm, devotion and festive spirit. The celebration was planned to acquaint students with the cultural and spiritual significance of the birth of Lord Krishna while providing them with meaningful opportunities to showcase their creativity, artistic abilities and active participation.
A special Janmashtami Assembly was organised as an integral part of the celebration and was graced by the presence of the Chairperson Ma’am, whose presence encouraged and motivated the students. The assembly commenced with a prayer, creating a devotional atmosphere and setting the tone for the celebration.
It progressed with a vibrant presentation of dance, music, creativity and cultural performances by the students. The appearance of students dressed as Radha and Krishna added charm and grace to the celebration. Their traditional attire, expressions and confident performances beautifully reflected the festive spirit of Janmashtami.
Alongside the performances, students across Classes I to X actively participated in a variety of Krishna-themed art and craft activities. These activities were designed according to the age group of the students and provided them with opportunities to explore their imagination, creativity, artistic skills and collaborative spirit.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the programme to a dignified and memorable close.

Class-wise Activities

- Class I – Krishna Mukut Making:
  Students enthusiastically created colourful and decorative Krishna mukuts using craft materials. They enjoyed designing their own crowns and adding decorative elements such as sequins, beads and feathers.

- Class II – Peacock Feather Craft:
  Students prepared attractive peacock feather crafts inspired by Lord Krishna's beloved morpankh. The activity allowed them to explore colours, patterns and creative designs.

- Class III – Krishna’s Flute (Bansuri) Decoration:
  Students decorated flutes using colourful papers, ribbons, beads and other decorative materials. They displayed great creativity while giving their bansuris a vibrant and festive appearance.

- Class IV – Mini Jhula Making for Bal Krishna:
  Students made miniature jhulas for Bal Krishna. They decorated their swings creatively and learned about the traditional association of Jhulan and Krishna celebrations.

- Class V – Krishna-Themed Quilling Wall Hanging:
  Students created beautiful wall hangings using quilling techniques and Krishna-inspired motifs. The activity encouraged patience, precision and artistic expression.

- Class VI – Krishna’s Jewellery Making:
  Students designed and crafted Krishna-themed jewellery using a variety of decorative materials. They displayed creativity while learning about the traditional ornaments associated with Lord Krishna.

- Class VII – Janmashtami Poster Designing:
  Students designed colourful posters depicting the theme, values and celebrations associated with Janmashtami. Their posters reflected both creativity and an understanding of the festival.

- Class VIII – Gopi Doll Making:
  Students created and decorated Gopi dolls using craft materials. They showed considerable imagination and enthusiasm while giving each doll a distinctive appearance.

- Class IX – Matki Painting Competition:
  Students participated enthusiastically in the Matki Painting Competition. They decorated the matkis with intricate patterns, vibrant designs and traditional motifs, showcasing their artistic skills.

- Class X – Krishna-Themed Canvas/Fabric Painting:
  Students explored their artistic abilities through Krishna-themed canvas and fabric paintings. Their artwork reflected creativity, originality and an appreciation of Indian culture and traditions.

The celebration concluded on a joyous and devotional note, leaving the students with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation of our rich cultural heritage. The active participation and enthusiasm of the students made the occasion truly vibrant and memorable. Overall, the celebration was a meaningful blend of learning, creativity, culture and devotion, beautifully capturing the essence of Janmashtami.

    Our young sportspersons celebrated National Sports Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, energy and sportsmanship under the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat.” The celebration embraced the spirit of “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Mein,” encouraging students to actively participate in sports and make fitness a part of life. 
    Based on the advisory, the National Sports Day Pledge (Oath) was to be taken before the sports day activities.

    The playground came alive with team spirit, discipline, coordination, agility, confidence and healthy competition. Every game provided our students an opportunity to participate, learn, challenge themselves and experience the true joy of sports.
    Inspired by the sporting legacy of Major Dhyan Chand, we continue to nurture a generation that believes in fitness, teamwork, perseverance and sporting excellence.

      🌸Janmashtami Celebration at Greenway Nursery School 🌸

      The festive spirit of devotion, joy, and celebration filled Greenway Nursery School as the children of Preschool and Pre-Primary celebrated the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami with great enthusiasm.

      Dressed beautifully as Radha and Krishna, the little ones danced joyfully to melodious tunes, adding charm and colour to the celebration. The highlight of the event was the energetic Dahi Handi performance, where the children enthusiastically came together to form a pyramid and successfully enact the traditional celebration.Their coordination, confidence, and infectious enthusiasm made the performance truly delightful. The children put in tremendous effort and showcased their hard work with great spirit. Their wonderful performance was highly appreciated by the school management, who praised the children and teachers for their dedication and efforts.

      The celebration was a beautiful blend of tradition, teamwork, joy, and learning, leaving everyone with cherished memories of the festive occasion.
