E-Waste Awareness Week
A week-long programme on E-waste was organised by the Eco Club of our school, following directions from the Ministry of Environment. Through a series of activities, students were made aware of the growing problem of electronic waste and the need to dispose of it responsibly.
The week began with slogan writing and poster making competitions, where students expressed their concern for the environment through creative messages and colourful artwork. An awareness rally was also organised, in which students marched with placards and slogans, spreading the message of responsible e-waste disposal. A highlight of the week was the e-waste collection drive, which received an enthusiastic response, and a large quantity of discarded electronic items was collected for proper recycling.
An awareness programme and a quiz were also organised to build students' knowledge on the subject, along with some cultural activities that conveyed the message in an engaging way. The week reflected the school's commitment to protecting the environment.
