Greenway Modern School celebrated 80th  Independence Day 2026 with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration began with a presentation on the importance of Vande Mataram, followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony by the Principal of the school Mr.Mohit Sachdeva followed by National Anthem. The Principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and inspiring students to become responsible citizens, while the NCC cadets added pride to the occasion through a disciplined patriotic rally and creative poster-making activity. Students across classes participated enthusiastically in painting, slogan writing, Tiranga badge-making and rangoli competitions, reflecting the spirit of patriotism, creativity, unity and responsible citizenship. As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, creative activities were conducted in class during the Zero period on 14 August 2026: Class I did a Tiranga colouring activity, Class II made their own miniature Tiranga, Class III designed Tiranga badges, Classes IV and V created flag-themed drawings on topics like Har Ghar Tiranga and Unity in Diversity, Classes VI and VII took part in a slogan writing competition “Words for the Nation”, Class VIII participated in a painting competition “Colours of Patriotism”, Classes IX and X made Tricolour rangoli on A3 sheets, and Classes XI and XII contributed to the ‘Wall of 2047’ with “My Pledge as a Citizen” on A4 sheets. Parents were encouraged to motivate students and ensure they brought the required materials. The event successfully inspired students to celebrate Independence with creativity, pride and respect for the nation. Jai Hind!
