Earth Day is a time for us to reflect on our planet’s beauty, diversity, and the importance of protecting it for future generations. What better way to instill these values in young minds than through a fun and educational fancy-dress competition? Pre-primary students of Greenway Nursery School not only showcased their creativity but also learned about the significance of Earth Day through this engaging activity.  The theme for the fancy dress competition revolved around environmental conservation, sustainability, and appreciation for nature. Students spoke on topics like Saving water, saving trees, saving electricity, etc.   Students were judged for their costumes based on creativity, content, memory, props, and confidence. By incorporating these criteria, the competition not only promoted artistic expression but also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices.  The winners were recognized for their effort and creativity through certificates, small prizes, and applause.  A fancy dress competition for pre-primary students on Earth Day served as a dynamic platform to impart valuable lessons about environmental conservation and sustainability. Through creativity, education, and fun, teachers empower the next generation to become responsible stewards of our planet.  The learning was extended beyond the competition by organizing a tree plantation activity along with a nature walk.  Students of pre-school enjoyed coloring on leaves made of paper and tied wristbands.
