An online session on the 'Impact of sleep on Athlete's performance and fitness' was organized by NADA ( National anti-doping agency) in collaboration with NCERT.

The session offered a valuable chance for Physical Education Teachers to improve their knowledge about the impact of sleep on athlete's performance and fitness. Additionally, It also focused on the harmful effect of doping on the sleep cycle.

Speakers also shared a few interview lines of the International Athlete on the Importance of SLEEP.

Bolt said, “Sleep is extremely important to me — I need to rest and recover for the training I do to be absorbed by my body.” Bolt sleeps for 8 to 10 hours per night and he is not alone. Roger Federer gets 11 to 12 hours of sleep per night. Lebron James gets 12 hours of sleep per night.

Overall the session was very fruitful and everyone present in the session understood the importance of sleep for performance in any arena of life.

Greenway Nursery School celebrated Father’s Day with joy and creativity before summer vacations. Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June. Children engaged in various activities and crafted handmade cards to express their love and appreciation for their fathers. Teachers explained to the children this day's value and requested mothers to click pictures of the child presenting cards to fathers and then share in class groups. These celebrations honor fathers and provide valuable opportunities for children to develop their emotional expression, creativity, and appreciation for their important role in their lives. 

Arwachin Bharti Bhawan School Vivek Vihar organized an interschool competition, Lit-a-thon: An Enthralling Literary Ride. In this event, Avika Gupta (9th F) secured the third position in the English Poster Making Competition, and Radhika Verma (9th A) also secured the third position in the Hindi Poster Making Competition. Out of six events, Greenwanians achieved positions in three events—a significant achievement.

Near about 25 renowned schools of DELHI NCR participated in this competition.  The school's Principal congratulated the students, the teacher, and in charge for the achievement.

An Inter-school Handball Tournament was held at St. Mary's Christian School, Sahibabad on 16th & 17th May, 2024 . We are proud to share that our Boys' team, consisting of Aditya Tomar (12th E), Satvik Sharma (12th E), Abhinav Tomar (11th D), Harshit  Kumar (11th C), Bharat Pratihast (10th B), Aarush Bisht (10th A), Vibhor Tomar  (10th E), Ishant Maan (9th A), Abdul Rehman  (10th C), and  Manan Kapoor (10th D), achieved the First Runner-Up Position.

Our Girls' team also excelled, securing the Second Runner-Up position. The team members were Anvi Khokhar (10th E), Arnika Gautam (10th E), Samanvi Jain (10th E), Nalini Bhatnagar (8th F), Simrit Arora (8th F), Kavya Kapoor (12th F),Tanisha (12th G), Pragati Upadhayay  (11th A), and Angel Kasana (8th F).

Students from the Middle Wing of Greenway modern school organized Nukkad Natak on 16th May 2024 as a part of the Jal Doot program. This event, under the expert guidance of our Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva, was a component of the sustainable development goals (SDG) program. Greenway Modern School consistently undertakes such sustainable initiatives to contribute to society and educate children about the importance of water conservation. Through their performance, the students effectively conveyed the crucial importance of water and the urgent need for its conservation. They also showcased methods to save water such as rainwater harvesting. The event was highly informative for all attendees.

Greenway Modern School celebrated one of the most awaited events ‘COMMUNITY DAY’ on 06th May 2024. Six reputed schools (Hansraj Smarak Sr. Sec. School, Arwachin International School, Sneh International School, Universal Public School, Ahlcon International School, and Greenway International School) and two NGOs (Nanhe Pakshi and Panam Foundation) along with their students participated in this grand event.

It was an awe-inspiring and magnificent event. Students enthusiastically participated in the event. We thank Stemrobo and the participating schools for helping us make this event successful. We especially thank AIM and NITI Ayog for giving our children such an amazing and futuristic platform to showcase their talent and innovations.

National Fitness Day is celebrated on the first Saturday in May brings an opportunity to be inspired and try new ways of becoming Fit and Healthy. The main objective of National Fitness Day is to motivate everyone to follow Healthy Lifestyles.  Some of the students of class 7 performed a unique Exercise style known as ‘TABATA’. 

‘TABATA’ is a style of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that involves 20 seconds of exercise at our maximum effort, followed by 10 seconds of rest, for a certain number of rounds. ‘TABATA’ was founded by Japanese scientist LZUMI TABATA.    The middle-wing students followed the instructions of  Physical Education Teacher, Ms. Nupur Gautam who explained How Regular Physical activity is important for all over development.  She also showed a few low-intensity exercises which are to be performed to increase leg strengthening.
The students understood Healthy Lifestyle's importance by exercising and eating Healthy food.

Mother's Day, celebrated on the 12th of May, is a cherished occasion to honor the amazing women who play a pivotal role in our lives. In anticipation of this special day, we encouraged our students to make their mothers feel special by giving cards, cooking food, or finding other thoughtful ways to show their appreciation. 

 At Greenway Modern School, we held a vibrant celebration on Wednesday, 15th May 2024, during the zero period, with a series of activities that allowed students to express their love and gratitude creatively. 

Here’s a glimpse of the wonderful activities each class participated in: 

 Class 1 & 2: Students made delightful Mother's Day Crowns and wrote heartfelt messages for their mothers. 

 Class 3: Students created 'Thank You' cards on A3 sheets, beautifully expressing their gratitude.  

Class 4 & 5: Students wrote touching letters to their mothers, sharing their feelings on colored sheets and decorating them with care. 

 Class 6: Students composed messages titled "MY MOTHER MY HERO," celebrating the heroic qualities of their mothers. 

 Class 7 & 8: Students brought passport-sized photos of their mothers and used them to draw portraits on A3-sized sheets, showcasing their artistic talents. 

 Class 9: There was a Poster Making competition on the theme "MY MOTHER MY LIFE," allowing students to artistically convey the significance of their mothers in their lives. 

 Class 10: Students made handmade gifts for their mothers using various materials like paper, cloth, and ribbons, demonstrating their creativity and appreciation. 

 Class 11 & 12: Students delivered 1-minute speeches in class about how their mothers are the greatest inspiration in their lives, sharing heartfelt stories and reflections. 

 The event was a heartfelt tribute to all mothers, and the creativity and sincerity of the students were truly inspiring. We are proud of our students for making this Mother’s Day a memorable and meaningful celebration.

An awareness session has been organized by Procter & Gamble for classes 5th& 6th girls at Greenway Modern School on 23rd April 2024 to make them aware of the physical changes in girls' bodies. The instructor explained the topic in a detailed manner with the help of real-life examples. She showed a detailed video on the 'menstrual cycle' in which important information was given. In the end, the instructor has taken all the doubts of the students attentive

Labour Day, also known as International Workers' Day, is a time to recognize and appreciate workers' contributions worldwide. Even in school, it's important to introduce children to the concept of work and the value of labor. Celebrating Labour Day in Greenway Nursery School was a fun and educational experience that taught children about different professions, teamwork, and the significance of hard work in society.  Maids, peons, guards, and gardeners were invited and children were explained the hard work they put in throughout the day to make them feel happy and safe. Children served them tea, biscuits, and wafers.    Students made thank-you cards and expressed their gratitude to each one of them. They expressed their appreciation and acknowledged the hard work of these individuals. 

Labour Day celebrations in school provided an opportunity to instill important values such as appreciation, respect, and teamwork in young children. By engaging in fun and educational activities, children learned about the diverse world of work and developed a deeper understanding of workers' contributions to their community. Through these experiences, students gained a newfound appreciation for the significance of Labour Day and the importance of honoring workers everywhere.
