Diwali celebration in school is a joyous occasion filled with vibrant colors and cultural significance. Greenway Nursery School celebrated Diwali with great pomp and show. Children engaged in creative activities like making diyas using safe materials. Teachers incorporated storytelling to share the significance of Diwali, promoting cultural awareness among the little ones. The school came alive with tiny footsteps as children participated in traditional dances, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity

The 26th and 30th of October 23 were days filled with joy and laughter as our preschool and pre-primary students embarked on a memorable picnic journey to FunMelon, the ultimate play zone! This delightful outing was designed to fuse outdoor fun, learning, and bonding experiences for our little explorers. Nestled in the heart of FunMelon, our young adventurers were greeted by a vibrant landscape of colorful play structures, thrilling slides, engaging obstacle courses, and more. This playful paradise promised an array of activities catering to the varied interests and energy levels of students.  The picnic started with cheerful faces boarding the buses for the first time and enjoying juice and snacks on the bus.   At FunMelon they were welcomed by the friendly staff and an introductory session on safety guidelines and the day’s plan. Then they explored the diverse play areas including jungle gyms, ball pits, climbing walls, and imaginative play zones.  After playing for long the children gathered together for a delightful lunch amidst the play zone and enjoyed eating sandwiches, burgers, and refreshing drinks.  After lunch, all the students moved to the party hall to enjoy the dance session.   Then they bid farewell and departed back to school with hearts full of fun memories.

This picnic was not only about fun; it was an educational expedition. The activities at FunMelon aided in the development of gross motor skills, social interaction, teamwork, imaginative play, and sensory experiences. Additionally, the children learned about sharing, following instructions, and respecting play area rules in a safe and monitored environment.      Trained supervisors and teachers oversaw the children throughout the day to ensure their safety and maximum enjoyment. All safety measures and guidelines provided by FunMelon were strictly adhered to for a worry-free and secure outing.  The picnic at FunMelon was a day full of joy, laughter, and wonderful experiences for our young learners. This adventure was tailored to create cherished memories and foster a spirit of exploration and fun in a safe and engaging environment.    It was an unforgettable day of laughter, play, and endless excitement at FunMelon - where the fun never stops!

On 30th October 2023 the program on “Awareness of Dyslexia” was conducted by the school's Special Educator, to create an inclusive environment and develop understanding among the various stakeholders at the school level towards persons with dyslexia. All the students of classes 4th and 6 were present in the program and participated extensively. The children were sensitized about the symptoms and the particulars associated with dyslexia and how it can affect an individual’s life. Through the presentation, it was also communicated how we together as students and teachers can help them and make them feel valued since it can impact their overall mental health. So it's essential to observe and know about such issues if we want them to feel valued and appreciated, and the misconceptions around dyslexia can be stamped out.    The next day, a poster-making competition was organized by the school to create more awareness about dyslexia.   The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts of the students and the Special Educator of the school for taking the initiative to create awareness among other students. He is looking forward to more such programs so that his students will know and value people who are unique in their ways.  

National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, is a significant day in India, celebrated on October 31st, in honor of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. In *Greenway Modern School*, The celebration commenced with an enlightening speech by Dakshitta Mathur, the English Club Secretary, who spoke about Sardar Patel's life, his role in the unification of India, and his commitment to national integration, emphasizing the significance of preserving the unity of our diverse nation. Following the informative presentation, all students and staff members took an oath to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and communal harmony in our country. This pledge served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to contribute to a stronger and more united India. A "Unity Run" was organized, where students from different grades participated to promote the ideals of unity and integration. This event not only encouraged physical fitness but also conveyed the message that a healthy nation stands on the pillars of unity. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the celebration was the involvement of primary wing students. They came dressed in colorful costumes representing different Indian states, showcasing the rich diversity of our nation. This portrayal of unity in diversity was a delightful sight and reminded everyone of the strength that comes from our differences. The day's activities left a lasting impression on students, fostering a sense of national pride and a commitment to preserving the unity and integrity of India.
