^{A Proud moment for Greenway Modern School}

^{92.7 Big FM organized the RJ Hunt for Juniors and nearly 200 students gave the auditions from Delhi & NCR Schools.  Greenway Modern School also took part in the auditions with great enthusiasm.  A panel of three teachers of the school selected the best 20 students within the school.   The marketing team and RJ Abhishek visited our school, took another audition and short listed the best 3 students.   The situations were given on the spot.  Judges were impressed by the performance, presence of mind & confidence level of the students.   It was a proud moment for Greenwanians when three students from our school were shortlisted for Round 1 out of 20, which were selected from various schools of Delhi and NCR. They again selected the best five amongst them and it was a remarkable achievement for Mitali of class VI to be selected.}

 ^{The audition for the final round was done at the studio on 21st December 2013, and again a feather in the cap was added for Greenwanians when Mitali of class VI emerged as the winner and became the Junior RJ.  She defeated the finalists on the basis of voting, who were from DPS, Apeejay & Bosco.The telecast was aired on 25th December 2013.  The management and the Principal of the School congratulated Mitali for the wonderful achievement.}

CONGRATULATIONS !! TO KIRTI NARANG X-D (Hindi Recitation), NEHAL VIII-D (English Extempore), VARDAAN XI-F (Slogan Writing) AND GROUP SONG STUDENT FOR SECURING 1^ST POSITION IN DISTRICT LEVEL COMPETITIONS.     

 Greenway Nursery School held its Annual Sports Day on 13^th December 2013.  The opening ceremony with balloons was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The Chief Guests were Vice-Principal Mr. Tarun Sachdeva, Chairperson Ma’am Mrs. Sudesh Sachdeva and Manager Sir Mr. Kamal Sachdeva who were welcomed by the little Children.  Manager Sir gave an encouraging speech which was followed by the scintillating performance of Pre-Primary children.  600 students were present including participants and spectators; who participated in three groups Play-Way, Pre-Nursery and Pre-Primary.  The programme included the following games:

·        Hawker Relay

·        Healthy Race

·        Wheel Barrow Race

Many students won Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.   Vice-Principal Sir appreciated the hard work of students and staff for organizing the wonderful event and thanked everyone for their effort and making the event a great success.

The  basket-ball court of Greenway Modern School came alive with eight strong teams of reputed schools coming together to compete in the IX Inter School Basket Ball Tournament organized by Greenway Modern School, from 22^nd of November to 25^th of November 2013.

After a pledge to play the game in fair spirit, the annual tournament was declared open by School Principal.  The four days of the tournament were filled with zeal and enthusiasm with every team trying to put their best effort and win the trophy.

The final match between Greenway’s and DPS Noida was a clash between the Titans with Greenway beating DPS Noida by  an interesting score of 36 – 32.   Our team consisted of Akash (Captain), Abhishek, Aman, Anil, Bhuwan, Saurabh, Vishesh, Nirbhay, Shivek, Achintya, Sharad, Sunny and Mr. Sumit Rathi (Coach).  The School Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva in his closing address, commended the efforts of the school team and its coach.

Scholar’s Day Celebration at Greenway Modern School – giving wings to aspirations

A genius is not only an epitome of perfection but also of originality – a path breaker to new frontiers.

To felicitate these young path breakers and corroborate their sincere endeavours in the field of academic, sports and culture; Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden solemnized Scholars’ Day on 21^st November 2013.

Miss Marie Josse Charbonnus deemed head and Counsellor for Advocacy Programme from Canadian Embassy presided the ceremony and Mr. Bernard Francis officer for Advocacy Programme graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.  Manager Sir and Chairperson Mam graced the special occasion marked by the presence of proud parents who were present to cherish the achievements of their kids. The Board Toppers and school scholars who excelled in different fields and gained commendable credits were bestowed with much coveted trophies, awards and certificates for their remarkable performance.  The prize giving ceremony was colourfully embellished with a scintillating amalgamation of cultural programme including dance, group songs and ended with an inspiring song by the teachers.  The Chief Guest in her address appreciated the authenticative role of the school to support young aspirants and expressed her exultation to be a part of school’s endeavour in consolidating bonds of mutual veneration between India and Canada.  The programme came to be a befitting end with vote of thanks by Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva who appreciated the efforts of teachers and students which made the day a precious memory to be cherished.
