Greenway Modern School witnessed fun and galore at the finals of Inter Section Basket Ball and Inter Section Volley Ball competitions.

The thrilling Basket Ball final [Boys] was played between XII-A and XII-D, where in XII-A was taken for a ride by XII-D who played in a deft motion like a professional team and gained victory.

The other gripping event of the day was the Volley Ball final [Girls] which was equally exciting.  It was played between XII-C and XII-E where in XII-E showcased spurt of energy and talent and won accolades.

The crowd along with the teachers cheered the teams and the event was perfect to kick start the vacations from Monday.

    TEACHER’S WORKSHOP CONDUCTED BY TIMES OF INDIA.

    An enlightening and didactic workshop was conducted in Greenway Modern School by Mrs. Jayshree Mehta from Times of India.

    The workshop was delightful as well as pragmatic.  It dealt with some contemporary issues related to Adolescent age and as a teacher how and why is it important to build effective rapport with the students.

    The concept of SEL (i.e. Social and Emotional Learning) was mentioned in the context of teacher-student relationship.  The highlighted part of the workshop was the emphasis on the cognitive development and identity formation in adolescence and the significance of Rapport’s Building along with the teachers personality that fore mostly shapes the students psyche and enhance their overall attitude towards life.

    The workshop was highly beneficial for the teachers.

      Greenway Modern School organized a special assembly to celebrate World Dance Day with an Inter-house Dance competition for primary, middle and senior wing. The day was celebrated wonderfully that took everyone in the world of Dance. The students presented various forms of dances, the costumes were ethnic, the presentation was excellent and coordination was beyond anybody’s imagination. The vast array of bright colours and sequins were on display.  The special assembly was a great success and it was a nice opportunity for all the students to celebrate World Dance Day.  Principal Sir appreciated the efforts of all the students and teachers.

        CLASS X CBSE BOARD RESULT - 2014

        With the declaration of CBSE results; Greenway Modern School proudly announces 100% result of Class X for the academic session 2013 – 2014.

        Greenway always believed that –‘Education is a liberating  force’ and with 42 students securing 10 CGPA – the mettle was proved.  More than 89 students secured 9 and above CGPA and clearly fore-showed that they very well understood the nuances of academic concepts.  The result signifies the completion of one lap of learning and transitional for subject preferences.

        The Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva congratulated the students and motivated them to continuously strive towards their chosen goal with honesty, diligence, commitment and integrity.

        WELL- DONE GREENWANIANS, KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!!

                        POEM RECITATION COMPETITION- MIDDLE WING
                        Greenway Modern School organized the Poem Recitation Competition on Saturday, 26h April 2014, in the morning assembly for classes VI – VIII.  The theme of the competition was ‘Nature’. All the participants recited very well with proper presentation and pronunciation. Efforts of the students were acknowledged by the audience with huge applaud.  Rashi Pal of VIII- A [Purity House] got the first position. The second prize was won by Saatvik of Class VIII- D [Harmony House]. Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of all the participants.

                          Poetry is the attire of thoughts, it not only thrills the participants but also the audience.  It transcends our heart and soul to heaven. Considering the importance of poetry, a scintillating poetry recitation competition was held in Greenway School for classes I to V. Although it was a tough competition but a great zeal was seen among the participants.  The participants recited poems on different themes i.e. nature, teacher, animals etc.  The participants were adjudged on the basis of their presentation, pronunciation, fluency and expressions.  Principal, Mr. Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the efforts of all the participants.
