A comprehensive CBP workshop on Life Skills was organised at Greenway Modern School on 9th  January 2026 with the objective of empowering teachers to effectively integrate life skills education into the school curriculum. The resource person were Ms Aruna Sivraj a renowned Principal  and resource person from CBSE associated with SCERT etc. The second resource person was Mr Sunil Saathi associated with DOE, CBSE, SCERT etc.

The workshop was attended by teachers from both the Primary Wing and Middle Wing, who participated actively throughout the session. The workshop began with an introductory session highlighting the growing importance of life skills in today’s rapidly changing world. The resource person elaborated on key life skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills, empathy, emotional intelligence, stress management, and teamwork. Emphasis was laid on aligning these skills with the CBSE competency-based education framework and the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

The session focused on practical classroom implementation strategies rather than theoretical concepts alone. Teachers were guided on how life skills can be seamlessly integrated into daily teaching through storytelling, role-play, group discussions, experiential learning activities, project-based learning, and real-life scenarios. Special attention was given to age-appropriate activities for primary and middle school students to ensure meaningful learning experiences.

The workshop was highly interactive, with teachers participating in group tasks, reflective exercises, and case study discussions. These activities helped teachers understand how to foster a positive classroom environment that encourages confidence, cooperation, resilience, and ethical values among students. Teachers also shared their classroom experiences, challenges, and best practices, making the session collaborative and enriching.

The resource person also discussed methods of assessment and observation of life skills, stressing the importance of continuous and qualitative evaluation rather than traditional testing. Teachers were encouraged to observe student behaviour, participation, and responses during activities to assess the development of life skills.

The workshop concluded with a reflective session where teachers expressed their appreciation for the practical and engaging nature of the programme.

Overall, the workshop proved to be insightful and motivating. It equipped teachers with effective tools and strategies to nurture well-rounded, confident, and socially responsible learners, thereby reinforcing Greenway Modern School’s commitment to holistic education as envisioned by CBSE.
