Senior Coordinator Ms. Anuja Jaitly conducted a brief counselling session to orient students of Class X about the Dual Examination System and the streams offered by the school. She explained how the dual system supports continuous assessment and eases exam pressure. Ms. Jaitly also outlined the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams, highlighting key subject options and guiding students on choosing streams based on interest and aptitude. The session provided clear direction for students preparing for their academic choices after Class 10.

    CUET WORKSHOP FOR CLASS 12 COMMERCE  HUMANITIES & SCIENCE GROUP 21.11.2025

    An enriching CUET Workshop was organized by Greenway Modern School, Dilshad Garden for Commerce , Humanities & Science group  students of class 12 participated in the workshop. This workshop was organized with the objective of career counseling and carving a path for the desired destination. The chief speaker was Mr Siddharth. The speaker first engaged students in a discussion about the need for CUET, then proceeded with its benefits for all students. He gave comprehensive information about the Common University Entrance Test including subjects, sections and languages to be studied. He further elaborated on the right time for its preparation as well as how to prepare for it. All the students became acquainted with new courses and colleges after 12th which would prove to be very fruitful for them. Overall, this was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic seminar and the school would look forward to organizing more such workshops.

      Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva appreciated the event, acknowledging its value in guiding students towards their future careers.

        CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION FOR CLASS XII ON 19th NOVEMBER, 2025

        Class 12th  is often the time for making one the biggest decisions in life - to opt for a right career. To help students find and pursue a profession, a career counseling session was conducted on 19th November 2025 in the school auditorium.  The session was hosted by a renowned counselor Ms. Neha Wahi  who started off the session with an active interaction. She explained about the various fields that shall thrive in the future by relating it with the modern world. Her sessions not only provided a personalized guidance and assess one's interests and traits but also helped identify the potential career paths that align with their goals and aspirations. It was a very fruitful session as many students could ask various queries and finalize their decisions.

          Celebrating Childhood: A Special Assembly by Peace House

          The school celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm through a special assembly organised under Peace House, led jointly by the middle and senior wing teachers.
          The programme began with a serene atmosphere as the Middle Wing teachers conducted the Prayer, Thought for the Day, and News Headlines, setting a positive tone for the celebration. Following this, the Senior Wing teachers presented a beautifully arranged musical act, dedicated to the joy, innocence, and spirit of childhood. Their performance filled the environment with energy and emotion, making the young audience feel truly valued and special.
          After the assembly, a variety of engaging in-class activities were conducted across all grades to make the day memorable and meaningful.
          Students from Classes 1 to 5 participated in expressive tasks involving speaking, drawing, sharing their thoughts, and creating posters.
          Students from Classes 6 to 10 worked on creative drawing themes that encouraged them to think about happiness, memories, and positivity.
          In the senior secondary classes, Class 11 created visual reflections of their childhood memories, while Class 12 shared short personal reflections capturing their most cherished moments from childhood.
          The celebration beautifully honoured the spirit of Children’s Day and reminded everyone of the joy, creativity, and uniqueness each child brings to the school. The dedicated efforts of all teachers under Peace House made the programme heartfelt, meaningful, and truly memorable for the students.

            District Level Folk Song & Qawwali Competition was held on 4th November and 10th November 2025 at Greenway Modern School, where participants from Zone 5 and Zone 6 schools took part. The event saw great enthusiasm as students showcased their talent in folk song and qawwali, impressing the judges with their spirit. Greenwanians emerged first in the Folk Song category and will advance to the state level, while they secured second position in Qawwali. Principal Mr. Mohit Sachdeva congratulated all participants and winners, appreciating their dedication and cultural enthusiasm.

              National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) was observed in school on 31st October with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm by Greenwanians. The day marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “Iron Man of India”, who played a remarkable role in the integration of our nation.
              To begin the day, all students and staff took the National Unity Pledge to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of our country.
              As part of the celebration, the Sports Department of the school and DOE (Directorate of Education, Delhi) both organized a Unity Run on this occasion. Students and teachers across Delhi participated in this run to spread the message – “Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat.”

              Proudly, 15 girl students of Greenway Modern School were selected to present a special dance performance in the Unity Run event. Their cultural performance showcased the spirit of national integration. The dance was also witnessed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs Rekha Gupta, and the Education Minister, Shri Ashish Sood, which was indeed a moment of honour and pride for the school.
              Through this celebration, students of Greenway once again proved that unity is the biggest strength of our nation.

                An educational trip to the NATIONAL MUSEUM was organised by the Greenway Modern School on 7 November, 2025 for classes XII-F, XII-G, XI-F and XI-G, the HISTORY and PAINTING batches of session 2025-26. A group of 60 students was accompanied by two respected teachers Mrs Neeraj Sharma and Ms Tanya. The visit was informative for the students with them exploring ancient themes as in the BUDDHA gallery, the INDUS VALLEY civilisation, and the MAURYAN period. Students, also, encountered ancient visual arts as the jewelleries of the Mughal period, the South Indian sculptures and different schools of art. Overall, the visit was fruitful as it bridged the gap between today's generation with their ancient heritage with them realising the blend of ancient technology with devotion in reality.

                  Mental Health Day

                  To commemorate World Mental Health Day, Greenway Modern Senior Secondary School organized a vibrant and meaningful celebration led by the students of Class XIth Psychology Students.The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of mental health and emotional well-being among the younger students of Classes VI to VIII. The senior students conducted a series of interactive and engaging activities, including games, discussions and reflection exercises, that helped the juniors understand their emotions in a fun yet thoughtful manner. The sessions encouraged empathy, self-awareness and healthy communication. The initiative also provided the senior students with an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and compassion, making the celebration both insightful and impactful. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, enthusiasm and learning as students shared smiles, stories and reflections. The photographs captured during the event beautifully showcase the energy, warmth and collaborative spirit of the day, truly reflecting our students commitment to nurturing emotionally balanced and empathetic individuals.

                    The Nursery and Kg students had a wonderful and peaceful experience during their visit to the Gurudwara. The visit was organized to help the children learn about different places of worship and understand the values of love, equality, and service.As soon as the children reached the Gurudwara, they were warmly welcomed by the sewadars (helpers). The students covered their heads before entering the main prayer hall, learning the importance of respect and cleanliness in the holy place. Inside, they listened to the soothing shabad kirtan (holy hymns) that created a calm and peaceful atmosphere.The children also bowed down in front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the holy book of the Sikhs. They learned that the Gurudwara is a place open to everyone, regardless of religion, caste, or background.After the prayer session, the little ones were given Kada Prasad and toffees.It was a memorable day full of learning and joy. The visit helped the students understand the importance of kindness, humility, and togetherness — values that the Gurudwara beautifully teaches.
